The Rhythm Cats perform a Jam Circle at the Lyric Theater, Apr. 1, 2011.  The Rhythm Cats were honored to perform at the recently restored and historic Lyric Theater in Lexington, where numerous African-American artists performed from 1948-1963.  We danced two songs, Good Rockin' Tonight, by Wynonie Harris; and Jumpin' at the Woodside by Count Basie.  (Video provided by an audience member; first couple of minutes of the video is a little "washed out".)  Participants:  Lauren Cosentino; Mary Richardson; Emily Sward; Christy Underwood; Cody Kerr;

The Rhythm Cats 4th place performance at the Dayton Swing Smackdown, Feb. 26, 2011.  The competition was intense, as the Rhythm Cats gave one of their best team performances to date!

The Hepcats were in a music video!  The Hepcats were invited to take part in the making of a music video, “Sweet Sweet Kisses”, for country music royalty and Austin, Texas native Lucky Tubb & the Modern Day Troubadours.  The video was shot at the Green Lantern Bar in Lexington, KY on July 5, 2010.  Directed and produced by Blake Judd of JuddFilms.

Several Hepcats were in the video:  Amanda Bailey, Jacqueline Eaton, Mary Richardson, Mike Richardson and Ricky Teachey.

We teach the original swing dances of the swing-era, accept no substitutes!

and versatile swing-era swing dancer, you
need to learn - and embrace - Balboa! Plus
it's really cool to dance effortlessly to
200 bpm while other dancers just watch

haven't been to a Hepcats event!
