An intermediate/advanced level
workshop for Lindy Hoppers.
If you've taken the
Hepcats beginner class, or you're familiar with Lindy Hop, you should take
this workshop! |

Feel like
your dancing is in a rut and you want some new material? Have you seen
the
Rhythm Cats perform and ever thought, “Man they look
good! I want to dance like them!” Here’s your chance!
Rhythm
Cats members will be teaching this workshop and sharing
their knowledge with you! This workshop is for the dancer who wants to be
challenged. Learn the cool moves you see the
Rhythm Cats
doing at the
Hepcats regular swing dances. You should be
familiar with Lindy Hop or have taken the
Hepcats beginner class. No
partner required, single dancers are welcome. |

Around and
Around and Around She Goes! – Amanda and TJ
(1:00-2:00 pm).
Learn some
flashy turns, spins and tricks! Ever wonder how dancers don’t get dizzy
while doing these great moves? Amanda can teach you the secret and TJ can
show you guys how to look great while showing off your follow! Amanda and
TJ will help you incorporate precision and goofiness into your dance!
Swing Out
Shenanigans – Laura and Owen
(2:10-3:10 pm).
Everyone who has taken the Hepcats beginner class knows how to do a swing
out. In this class, we will show you some cool moves that you can do at the
end of your swing out to add just a little bit of pizzazz. Onlookers will
then wonder how YOU look so cool on the dance floor! Laura and Owen will
help you add smooth style to your dancing!
Crazy Charleston Variations – Owen and Emily
(3:20-4:20 pm).
If you can Lindy Hop, chances are you know how
to do the side-by-side Charleston. This class will teach you a cool entry
into the famed ‘tandem’ position, and show you some other cool tricks that
involve the Charleston footwork. Owen and Emily bring just the right touch
of drama and exciting energy to your dance!
Connect the Dots – Cody and Christy
(4:30-5:30 pm).
Do you know how to get from point A to point B..............
with pizazz? In this class you'll learn how to go beyond getting from
A to B by making the most of your movement in between those points.
Cody and Christy have put together some fun exercises that will really bring
definition to
your lead and follow so you can connect the dots! |
