Who may enter the contest?
This is a couples contest. Find yourself
a partner, practice and get ready, and then enter the contest! Anything
goes in this contest, but ...the
overall objective of this dance contest is not necessarily to get fancy,
but have fun with your dance partner. Give it a
try! |

What is the judging criteria?
Anything goes in this contest,
but.....be
sure what you do on the dance floor is safe and fits the music!
Here are some areas that
will be emphasized by the judges:

Presentation and Fun (smiling, eye contact with
partner, generally having fun!)
●
Lead/Follow Skills (is the lead actually leading and
not jerking the follow around; is the follow following?)
●
Musicality (dancing to the music, i.e., doing an
appropriate dance for the song tempo, responding to “breaks” in the
music, ...) |
