Your chance to learn the most famous
Lindy Hop line dance of all.....the
Big Apple!
The Big Apple was a national sensation
in the 1930's and early 40's and has some very cool and challenging moves
and footwork. The exact origin of the dance is unclear, but it
probably originated in the "ring shout" activities associated with religious
observances.
The Big Apple is a dance that every swing dancer should
have in their repertoire!
Note: a lot
of the footwork, moves and patterns for the Big Apple can be used on the
social dance floor. So bring your dancing shoes and be prepared for
some cool, new stuff!
