The UK Jazz Ensemble
consists
of the most talented students in the
nationally
recognized and award winning
UK Jazz Studies program. |

The UK Jazz Ensemble students look forward to playing
for swing dancers, jazz music aficionados, and all those interested in
dancing, and listening, to the great music of the Big Bands! |

The UK
Jazz Ensemble is directed by UK Music Professor
Miles Osland.
Miles Osland is a
Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies at UK. He is
well known as a distinguished music educator, recording and
performing artist, author, arranger and composer. |
|
|
|
Professor Osland, along with UK Music Professor Dick
Domek, are also co-directors of the
Kentucky Jazz Repertory Orchestra. They
are big supporters of the Hepcats' efforts to bring
great big band music to the Lexington/central KY
swing dance scene! |
